On 2 October 2022, Iranian security forces and plainclothes encircled the Sharif University of Technology and attacked the protesting protesters, beating them and shooting at them leading to many injuries. Tens of students were detained by the security forces and relocated to unknown locations.[1][2]
Reactions[edit]
The Islamic Association of Sharif University of Technology released a statement immediately vehemently condemning the attack, demanding a strike by both students and professors at the university until release of the protesters, compensation for damages, and an official apology.[3]
