On 6 October 2024, a crowd crush occurred at Marina Beach, Chennai during an air show organsied by Indian Air Force(IAF) to commemorate the IAF's 92nd anniversary.[1][2][3]
More than 15 lakh spectators arrived to watch the air show, much more than the initial estimates of 10 lakh.[4]
