3DJuegos

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

3DJuegos is a Spanish website specializing in videogames. Its content is structured according to different platforms, and includes game recommendations, industry news, tips and tricks, walkthroughs, and interviews. They also have channels on various streaming platforms such as Youtube and Mixer.

History

3DJuegos was founded in Zaragoza (Spain) in June 2005 by Enrique Morera, Daniel Mauro, and Enrique García, former videogame developers of Efecto Caos[1], Chaos Effect, and Xpiral. It initially focused on personal computers, but began covering console games (PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo) from April 2006. It currently covers all videogame-related content and provides live coverage of international fairs like the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and Gamescom.

In 2009, a user community emerged through forums, fostering discussions on current topics, technology, competitions, and humor. This community engagement, with features like game tracking in personal accounts, quick replies, quotes, mentions, and messaging, was a significant innovation for the website. [2] It is one of the most consulted magazines in the game industry, alongside Vandal, Hobbyconsolas, Eurogamer and Meristation. From 2010, according to OJD data, it has been one of the most visited videogame websites in Spain, with over 3.8 million unique users.[3]

Internationalisation

In 2017, 3DJuegos became a member of the international group Webedia, which encompasses media related to leisure and entertainment worldwide, including Sensacine, Jeuxvideo, or Allociné.[4] Also in 2017, 3DJuegos opened a branch in Mexico City with a dedicated editorial team for creating content specific to Mexico, expanding its reach in Latin America. That same year, Webedia and 3DJuegos launched a videogame website dedicated to eSports.[5]
