It's a three-dimensional game developed by using stop motion techniques.[1] In stop motion techniques, the object's movement is created by hands and clay. The 3D stop motion game is a game that is made by shooting every movements of clay animation character.[1]

Neverhood, an adventure game launched in 1996, and Skullmonkeys, released in 1998, are early stop motion games and clay animations using clay dolls. "Vokabulantis," which was developed by Wired Fly Animation in 2021, is also a stop motion game made with stop motion dolls.[3]

Harold Halibut, developed by Slow Brothers in 2019, is a real 3D stop motion game. The Set was against the backdrop of a submerged ship. Every scene of game was even hand-made including small tool in the background, and used motion capture to create a stop motion-like effect.[4]
