3M Health Care is a division of 3M that is a high-profile manufacturer of health products, notably in the UK.
History
It has worked in conjunction with Loughborough University. In 1956, 3M Health Care developed the first asthma inhaler.[1]
Structure
It is a major employer in Loughborough, with around 800 employees, in the Borough of Charnwood.[2] It has two sites in Loughborough.
Products
It makes dental and medical equipment, including asthma inhalers in the UK; these deliver salbutamol.
