49th Precinct
The 49th Precinct of the New York City Police Department is located at 2121 Eastchester Avenue in the Bronx. The neighborhoods situated in this command are are: Allerton, Morris Park, Van Nest, Pelham Parkway, Eastchester Gardens and Pelham Gardens. [1].
Its commander is Captain Timothy J. McCormack who grew up in the neighboring community of Throggs Neck. His predecessor was Lorenzo (Andy) Johnson who was transferred to the 40th Precinct in Mott Haven. McCormack's younger brother Chris McCormack is a Deputy Inspector and commander of the 46th Precinct in Morris Heights.[1]
