A. V. C. College of Engineering is a self-financing college for engineering education located in the headquarters of the district of Mayiladuthurai within the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.[1][2]
History

A.V.C. College of Engineering was started in the year 1996. The founding father, Sri S. Ramalingam Pillai sowed the seeds of A.V. Charities in 1806 in memory of his beloved son Thiru Velayutham pillai. A.V. Charities began its educational services by starting the A.V.C. (Autonomous) college in 1955,[3] extended their horizon to A.V.C Polytechnic in 1983 and in 1996 by opening the Engineering college. A.V. Charities serve as Beacon light in the field of education to the innumerable youth, with rural background. AVCCE is situated on a sprawling 55-acre campus located along the Mayiladuthurai - Akkur Road in Mannampandal, Mayiladuthurai, Tamil Nadu. The campus is designed with a strong emphasis on sustainability and environmental responsibility. It integrates optimal land use with careful environmental planning and resource management. This includes efforts to improve energy efficiency, conserve natural resources, and enhance the overall environmental quality of the campus. The institution is committed to preserving habitats, fostering a healthy living environment, and utilizing renewable energy sources. Additionally, AVCCE employs effective waste management practices, including recycling and water conservation measures, contributing to a more sustainable ecosystem.
A.V.C College of Engineering is a pioneer institution and first self financing college in then Mayiladuthurai District. The College of Engineering has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institution.
At A.V.C.C.E has Different Engineering Streams in Undergraduates As Department of Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science And Engineering, Electrical And Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation and control engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering & Computer Applications And For Post Graduates Master of Business Administration
