ACCES is a private company whose products target data acquisition and control market and are used in applications that include: temperature monitoring and control, military and communication systems, flight simulation, automation, transportation, security access control, toll booth lane controllers, roadway condition monitoring system, dialysis systems, intercom relay systems, subway signage, antennae control systems, front panel interface and image scanning. ACCES I/O's goal is to provide the market with easy-to-use data acquisition products utilizing technologies such as wireless, Ethernet, and USB-based DAQ.

History[3][edit]

Founded by John Persidok in 1987 in San Diego, CA, ACCES, which stands for Acquisition Control Communication Engineering/Systems, was initially run in a small office located in Miramar in the northern part of the city of San Diego. Twelve years later, in 1995, with the introduction of the PC/104 line of products the need arose for complete integrated systems including CPUs and enclosures and the company moved to its current location in the industrial part of Sorrento Valley neighborhood in San Diego, CA, where they set up their manufacturing facility.

ISA Bus and Other Legacy Products[4][edit]

ACCES has been designing Data Acquisition and Control (DAQ) products for more than 30 years and in this time technology has seen many changes, however, many of ACCES I/O's early products, designed in the late 80’s including PC-cards, USB, analog I/O, serial communication and watchdog/system monitoring products are shipping up to this day.

Products and services[edit]

ACCES is an ISO 9001:2015 certified designer and manufacturer of data acquisition instruments and related products for measuring. These products include signal conditioning, analog and digital I/O, RS-232/422/485 serial communications, isolated input / relay output, isolated I/O boards and watchdog timer cards which feature specific functionality. Their products are designed for use with PC/104, PCI, PCI Express, mini PCI Express, EBX, EPIC, USB, USB/104, USB/PICO, Ethernet, and ISA, as well as distributed, wireless I/O, and computer-on-module form factors. Company also provides custom software and offers services in component integration and in designing custom application-specific products that target prototype development and shipping production.
