ACEs (BGYO fandom)
Fans of the Filipino boy group BGYO are known as ACEs.[1]
Name[edit]
The symbolic meaning of the name is an English word, derived from the word "ace", and also means, "BGYO and the fans were the ACEs of each other". It was officially created during the Kumu broadcast of BGYO on 9 April 2021, chosen among entries from the fans.[1][2]
The name seems fitting as BGYO's fans quite literally the epitome of the phrase "lucky aces"! They are closely the reflection of their idols and, as their name suggests: thriving and elite.
— Katie Rojas, PARCINQ Magazine[3]
Impact[edit]
ACEs are pivotal to the success the band is continuously achieving right now. They constantly promote the group, stream (and share!) their songs and music videos, watch their live streams, and of course, show the five boys so much love and support.
— Katie Rojas, PARCINQ Magazine[3]
A pivotal part of this success is BGYO’s ardent legion of fans, who call themselves "ACEs". [They] are becoming a key ingredient in sustaining BGYO's forward momentum as it brews to an even more massive P-Pop storm.
— JE CC, RAWR Magazine[4]
If I could promise ACEs one thing, it would be: I promise na gagawin namin lagi yung best namin for them, gagawa kami ng music na makaka-relate sila, and yung kayang mapa-heal yung damdamin nila, kayang mapangiti sila, kayang ma-inspire sila, kayang ma-motivate sila sa dreams nila.
— Akira, PARCINQ Magazine[5]
