AI Therapist
AI Therapist (aka Therapist chatbots) refers to an artificial intelligence system designed to provide mental health support through chatbots or virtual assistants.[1] While AI therapists improve accessibility, they are not a substitute for human professionals, due to their inability of emotional intelligence or the nuanced expertise. In addition to limited effectiveness and ethical questions being raised.[2] Examples include Abby,[3] Woebot,[4] Wysa,[5] Earkick,[6] and Youper.[7]
