ALVIDO, real name Alen Gruber, was born in Bosnia on May 9th, 1981 as a Croat. The civil war in Yugoslavia forced him to flee to Germany at the age of 11.
Early Life[edit]
He grew up in Germany with his grandmother. He got to know his love for electronic music early on and worked as a DJ in local youth facilities.
Later, he tried his hand at being a producer. At first, it stayed with the experiments because he found less and less time for it due to work and family.
Music Career[edit]
ALVIDO has been producing music since 2018 and its genres are mainly deep house, slap house, and tech house. "Afraid Of You" is his most successful song, and has already broken the one million mark on Spotify.[1]
ALVIDO is both a successful DJ and also a good producer. His latest single "With You", on the other hand, goes in a future house and future rave direction and also brings a fresh festival sound with it.
Personal Life[edit]
In everyday life, Alen Gruber listens to composed melodies for hours and tries to imagine how they can best be implemented. This results in projects that he works on for up to six months until the first demo is ready.[2]
If he has writer's block, he doesn't try to force anything, he just lets it flow. This is also a good tip for everyone who is just starting to produce: Don't throw it away right away if things don't go well.
