APTelecom is a digital infrastructure consulting firm operating in Australia, USA, Africa, Brunei and Hong Kong with their head office based in Singapore.
History[edit]
APTelecom was co-founded in 2009 by Eric Handa and Sean Bergin.
The company are international telecommunications specialists in subsea pre-sales, subsea consultancy, due diligence consultancy and satellite consultancy.[1][2]
Since the company was founded in 2009, APTelecom has worked on major consulting contracts in both private and public sectors.
Major consulting projects include the Australia Singapore Cable, Angola Cables, Docomo Pacific and the Hawaiian Telcom.
- 2012 - Angola Cables project, a submarine cable system connecting Africa and South America.[3]
- 2015 - MENA cable system, a submarine cable system connecting Europe to the Middle East and India.[4]
- Recent Projects - HAVFRUE subsea cable system, connecting Northern Europe to the Continental US.[5] The new intra-US submarine cable system CONFLUENCE-1, between New York and Miami.[6]
Founders[edit]
Eric Handa is APTelecom’s CEO and co-founder and also sits on the board of trustees for Bryant University.[7]
Eric Handa also contributes to wire.com’s ‘innovation insights’ section and is regularly quoted by global media outlets as a telecom specialist for Entrepreneur Radio, Bloomberg Business Week, Telecom Review North America, SubTel Forum, CommsDay, and Fierce Telecom.
Sean Bergin is APTelecom’s President and Co-Founder and also the President and Chairman of the Pacific Telecommunications Council.[8][9]
