    ARES CAD is a three commercial computer-aided design (CAD) applications for personal computers, mobile devices and cloud solution. Therefore, the manufacturer combines them under the common name ARES “Trinity”.[2]


    History[edit]

    The program has been developed by the German company Gräbert GmbH since 2010 year. The headquarters of the company is located in the Berlin. The company was founded by Wilfried Gräbert in 1977 and has developed vertical plugins for AutoCAD. Now the program is released in 14 languages and is available for operating systems Windows, Linux и macOS.[1] ARES CAD software is designed for engineering drawing in such areas as: architecture, Architectural engineering, facility management, engineering, industrial design etc.

    For 3D graphics, the core of three-dimensional geometry "3D Acis Modeler" from Spatial Corp., which is now part of the company Dassault Systèmes. Gräbert GmbH is one of the founders of Open Design Alliance.[3]

    The functionality of the software ARES CAD is similar to BricsCAD, which in turn is a clone of AutoCAD.
