The film stars Subrat Dutta[2] as professor Bakshi, and Sunita Rajwar[3] as Sangita (Chaman's wife). The trailer of the film was released on 12 August and the film was released on 25 August 2022.[4][5]
Plot
The story of Aanchhi[6] is set when the covid pandemic started.[7] Chaman is a contract killer who gets a hoax call and mistakenly accepts a job to murder someone. He receives the photographs of the target on his phone, which gets damaged, and he is unable to identify the real target. The prime minister of India announces the COVID-19 lockdown when Chaman reaches the village. Professor Bakshi finds Chaman standing at a work site and takes him to his house for some work, assuming he is a building contractor, and asks him to stay there until the lockdown ends. Chaman assumes that the college principal is the one to be murdered and makes an unsuccessful attempt. Bakshi calls the contract killer to check on the progress, then he finds out about Chaman being the contract killer when his phone rings, and tries to get him out of his house by making excuses as he gets scared of dying.
Later, Chaman finds out that the real target is professor Bakshi and he is the same person who ordered the hit on himself. Everybody gathers in Bakshi's house where they find the body of Hasmukh and they are interrupted by the police and the uncle of Hasmukh. The film ends with the police officer getting arrested for the murder and stealing the bag.
