Abbas Fərhad oğlu Ağalarov (1911–1967) was an Azerbaijani boxer, honored coach of the USSR, honored master of sports, international judge.
Activity
In 1936, Abbas Agalarov received the title of Azerbaijani master of sports in boxing for the first time. In 1937, he reached the final stage of the USSR Championship. He was a member of "Dinamo" Baku society. After his perfect performance, he was appointed the head coach of "Burevestnik" and "Dinamo". Rauf Jabbarov, one of his students who contributed to Azerbaijani boxing and trained world and European champions, was the head coach of the Azerbaijan national boxing team for a long time. Abbas Agalarov was a descendant of Hasan Bey Agalarov, the lieutenant general of the Russian army. He also headed the boxing department at the Azerbaijan Institute of Physical Education. The famous athlete, coach and educator Abbas Agalarov died in 1967 at the age of 56.[1]
