Abu Al Qasim Muhammad Caro (1924-2015) was an Arab writer who was born in Gafsa. He received his schooling in Tunis and graduated from the Iraqi capital of Baghdad's Higher Teachers' College, after which he earned a BA in Arabic and a Ph.D. from the University of Algiers. In Baghdad, Tripoli, and Tunisia, he worked as a teacher. He went on to become the head of the Department of Literature at the Tunisian Cultural Centre in Tripoli, as well as the general director of the Arab Book House. He is a member of the Arab Writers Union - Syria, Cairo's Arabic Language Academy (1972), Jordan's Arabic Language Academy (1980), the Association of Authors Rights, and the Tunisian Writers Union.[1]
