Accolade, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACCD) is an American healthcare company based in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, and Seattle, Washington. The company's technology-enabled solutions combine virtual primary care and mental health, expert medical opinions, and care navigation. Accolade's shares are listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol "ACCD".

History[edit]

Founded in 2007 by Michael Cline and Tom Spann, Accolade focuses on facilitating healthcare navigation for employees. Rajeev Singh became CEO in 2015 and later assumed the role of Chairman. The company expanded internationally with new offices in Seattle and Prague in 2016.

Accolade raised $228 million in 11 funding rounds prior to its initial public offering (IPO) on July 2, 2020. The IPO involved the sale of 10,022,726 shares at $22.00 each, raising $220 million and valuing the company at approximately $1.2 billion. The IPO was managed by major investment banks including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and BofA Securities. Following the IPO, Accolade raised an additional $221.4 million in a post-IPO funding round and conducted a $287.5 million Convertible Notes Offering in March 2021.

Services[edit]

Accolade offers several services, including Accolade Connect, Accolade Plus, Accolade Care, and 2nd MD by Accolade. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company introduced Accolade COVID Response Care to support employers with employee return-to-work strategies.

Autism Care Demonstration Program[edit]

In October 2021, Accolade launched the Autism Care Demonstration program in collaboration with Tricare to support military families with individuals on the autism spectrum.

Recognition[edit]

Accolade has been listed in Inc.'s 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies and Forbes' 100 Most Promising Companies. In 2023, the company was named in Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 list.
