Acta Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Iuridica is a semi-yearly law journal published by the University of Łódź.
Established in 1980 as a book series within Acta Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Iuridica was created by Professor Jerzy_Wróblewski. Initially, the content of Folia Iuridica included exclusively the scientific output of academics employed at the Faculty of Law and Administration, Łódź University]. For several years, however, it has been a semi-yearly journal that also contains articles authored by national and international experts from outside Łódź University.
Currently, all issues of Folia Iuridica are of a thematic and interdisciplinary nature, since they not only focus on jurisprudence topics discussed from lawyers’ perspective, but also from the point of view of philosophers, logicians, sociologists, psychologists, economists.
The journal follows a double-blind review process.[1][2]
The journal is in the evaluation lists of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education[3] and is indexed in Polish and international repositories and databases (CEEOL - Central and Eastern European Online Library,[4] Index Copernicus Journals Master List, CEJSH - The Central European Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities,[5] BazHum, BazEkon, ERIH PLUS - European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences[6] DOAJ - Directory of Open Access Journals,[7] and Polska Bibliografia Naukowa (Polish Scientific Bibliography).
Acta Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Iuridica has been a member of the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE) since 2018.[8] The journal follows high publication and ethic standards recommended by this organization.
