Activated Carbon Injection, of ACI is an Air Pollution Control Technology mainly used at Thermal Power Plants (Mainly Coal Power Plants although the technology lends itself to Biomass , RDF , and TDF as well )
It is mainly used to remove Mercury and other Heavy Metals from the Flue Gas
It is entrained in the flue gas as a powder before the Electrostatic Precipitator typically
