Adam Khalifa Afara (Arabic: آدم عفارة) is international event planner and wedding designer from Syria and the founder of the company "Events by Adam Afara" which is based in Beverly Hills, California.[1][2][3][4][5]
Biography[edit]
Adam Afara, the founder of Magnolia Wedding Services and ""Events By Adam Afara"" Inc., is a driven, passionate, creative, innovative and successful designer. He believes that the passion and the drive that he has for his company is something that you are born with, something that comes from the heart.[6][7][8]
His dream began at age eleven when he discovered his passion helping his mother set the table in creative ways for her clients. He developed a strong bond with her and soon afterwards, they began taking floral design classes in Dubai. The knowledge he gained from those classes inspired him to start creating floral arrangements on his own, quickly becoming his favorite hobby. Over time, his creativity grew and he started experimenting and adding more to his flower arrangements. He had his first experience in the business when he began selling his flower arrangements to his family and friends.[9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16]
In 1999, Adam moved to the United States; he gained experience from working at a flower shop for three months. Soon afterwards, he began creating flower arrangements for weddings in his garage. After several years, he had opened a small florist company named ""Magnolia Flower Company which he ran for several years in California. He quickly discovered that people appreciated his creativity and his style, and he began planning weddings"". He started by picking out the cake, invitations, colors, etc. for his friends’ weddings, which inspired him to enroll in a school that specialized in event planning. Adam officially started planning weddings and other events, and he has now successfully expanded to a global market, planning events in Qatar, Mexico and across the United States. Adam expanded into Mexico in 2010 after receiving an exclusive invitation from the Mexican Ministry of Tourism.[17][18][19][20][21]
Awards[edit]
He has also won many awards, including the Bride's Choice Awards for three consecutive years in 2009-2011. He has also won the Best of Anaheim Awards for Candy and Nuts for two consecutive years in 2013 and 2014, in addition to many more awards over the years.[22][23]
As of September 2014, Adam began operating under the new name for his company "Events By Adam Afara Inc." which he is transitioning to for the year 2015.[24][25]
