Adaralegbe Akintayo (born 29 May 1982) is a Nigerian real estate entrepreneur,[1] businessman, and philanthropist. He is the founder and CEO of T-Pumpy Concept[2][3] and a member of Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) and Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers.[4] He was named Real Estate Personality of the Year at the Global Excellence Recognition Awards.[5]
Early life and education
Adaralegbe hails from Ilorin, Kwara State,[6] Adaralegbe was born and raised in Iloro, Ekiti State Nigeria, where he had his primary and secondary school education at St. Mary African School & Iloro Community High School, while pursuing his education, he took on various entrepreneurial ventures to support himself.[7] He started as a thrift collector on campus before transitioning to photography, which was a lucrative business in the pre-smartphone era.[7] During the early days of GSM in Nigeria,[8] he established a call booth and recharge card business in Lugbe, Abuja, marking his early foray into entrepreneurship.[7] Adaralegbe attended the College of Technology Esa-Oke, where he obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting and honorary PhD from Caleb University[9]
Career and philanthropy
In 2020, Adaralegbe was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the Osun State College of Technology (OSCOTECH), Esa-Oke,[10] Osun State in recognition of his contributions to education and philanthropy,[11][12] On September 26, 2021 Adaralegbe was named Real Estate Personality of the Year at the Global Excellence Recognition Awards.[5] In 2023 he was named among the Most Influential Real Estate Entrepreneurs in Nigeria by Vanguard[13] In 2024 he was named among the 10 Most Influential Real Estate Entrepreneurs in Africa by The Sun[14]
