History[edit]
Adesse Versions first came to prominence after a 2012 performance on the Boiler Room (as Adesse) playing a set of entirely his own music cut to dubplates[3][4]. His debut single 'Baayi' was championed by Derrick May , who described it on his show for BBC 6 Music as 'this song is beautiful, I play it as much as I can, it's one of those records you have to play' [5]. Gilles Peterson is also a fan, having playlisted 'Modal', 'In The Dark' [6] and 'Jagger' [7] on his radio shows. In 2017, Adesse Versions performed on the long-running New York radio show Beats In Space.[8]
