Adolf Freiherr Spies von Büllesheim (born June 4 1929 Haus Hall in Ratheim; died February 12 2011 in Ratheim-Neuhall) was a German politician, farmer and lawyer.
Life[edit]
His parents were Egon Franz Freiherr Spies von Büllesheim (1900–1983) and Maria Freiin von Oer (1903–1992). He is member of German noble family Spies von Büllesheim. His sister was Sophie (1927–2013), Fürstin von Hatzfeldt-Trachenberg in Silesia. He was married with Gräfin Maria Immaculata (born Concha) von Mirbach-Harff, Freiin von Vittinghoff (1938–2002) and together they hat six childs.
After school in Erkelenz he became farmer. He studied german law and farming at universites in Cologne and in Bonn. After university he worked as farmer and as lawyer from 1960 to 1997.
Since 1952 Spies von Büllesheim was member of political party CDU.[1] From 1969 to 1972 Spies von Büllesheim was mayor of Hückelhoven.[2] From 1972 to 1987 Spies von Büllesheim was member of German Bundestag for Heinsberg.[3]
