AfricTivistes is a pan-African civil society organization founded in November 2015 to promote democracy, human rights and good governance through digital tools, civic technology and digital activism. Its headquarters is in Dakar, Senegal.[1][2]
History

AfricTivistes was established on 26 November 2015 by Senegalese digital strategist Cheikh Fall, Aisha Dabo and other digital activists with the initial name being "African bloggers and cyberactivists", and with the mission of promoting democracy, human rights, and good governance using digital tools and civic tech. The organisation grew from a loose network of digital activists to having over 400 members spread across 40 countries on the African continent.[3]
