Council for the promotion of peace between Kosovo and Serbia
Council for the promotion of peace between Kosovo and Serbia (CPPKS) is an AD HOCK organization that aims to promote peace between Kosovo and Serbia.[1].
Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli established Council on Promoting Peace between Belgrade and Pristina. He mandated Klara Buda, writer and human rights activist from Albania, a Pristina-based Gazeta Express reported, as a Chief of the Council for the promotion of peace between Kosovo and Serbia to build the platform of the council and the Board of Directors. Council will, as it is said, be financed from institutions and donations[2]
Actions of this organization are cultural artistic and supportive with a large participation of actors from civil society, university and artistic community, as well as youth and women’s organizations.
She consulted and chose the board members among the most recognized personalities having a modern vision of democracy, nation and national activism.
The Board is committed to help build a society peace, tolerance and prosperity, open to Euro-Atlantic integration.

The Council for the promotion of peace between Kosovo and Serbia (CPPKS) aims to develop various cultural, educational, scientific and other social activities promoting the human exchange and brotherhood of religions. The activities of the Council are of a peaceful nature in order to build bridges of cooperation and support the spirit of peace.
The Council for the promotion of peace between Kosovo and Serbia involves the participation of community members, students and change – makers from a wide variety of sectors, including civil society, environmental, intercultural, women and youth focused organizations, and professionals working in the fields of social innovation, social enterprise and public policy. CPPKS aim to create a supportive a supportive national and international network to promote cooperation and artistic exchange between Serbs and Albanians.
CPPKS is investigating three important aspects in the field of promoting peace; teaching and learning tolerance; approaches to evaluate the actual state of mind in both Albanian and Serbian communities, and the development of sustainable partnerships between different artists-in and non-art organizations which are working in a positive way to build bridges.
Case studies in performing and visual arts, social circuits and art based exchange will enrich both he research and the resources to be developed.
CPPKS plans to include the creation of accessible publications and videos in Albanian and Serbian, textbooks, public gatherings, exhibitions and performances.
CPPKS hope to create a supportive national network in order to nurture a new cohort of artist and scholars while bringing knowledge of this potent and effective form of work to a wider public.
Karla Buda[edit]
Karla Buda is the Chief of the Council for the promotion of peace between Kosovo and Serbia.
She is a writer, Balkan analyst and human rights activist. She graduated from the prestigious “Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes" in Paris and was an editor-in-chief for Radio France Internationale (RFI). In 2004, Buda was appointed the Head of Albanian Department of RFI, which she led until its closure in 2010. In June 2011, she won "Prime of Creation" by public French radio. She worked consecutively for UNESCO and the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). By creating a presence and proving a wordsmith, "Klara Buda, BBC Paris" became a household name. Buda is the initiator and second signature of the petition "The Fate of Kosovo common declaration on basic principles", Paris, June 1998[3].
She served also as lecturer in radio journalism for RFI and lecturer in political discourse for Council of Europe. In 2004, she was distinguished and appreciated by the Director of the Council of Europe. In 2012, Klara Buda, founded the online gazette http://klarabudapost.com/ and in 2013 the Albanian Cultural Diplomacy http://www.albanianculturaldiplomacy.org/ to promote the best of Albanian Culture and art.
For her contribution to the cultural exchange, she was awarded the <<Francophone Personality of the Year 2013>> title of Honor grant of International Organization of Francophone.[4] She serves as a senior consultant and lector in media, communication and peace-building.
