Afshin "Mohammed" Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh (born 13 July 2002) is the world's shortest living mobile man. He was certified on 13 December 2022 by the Guinness World Records and at 20 years of age, Ghaderzadeh was 0.6524 m (2 ft 1 1⁄2 in) tall and weighed 6 kilograms (13 lb) when measured at Dubai, UAE.[1] He lives in "a remote village" in Bukan County, Iran.[2]
He was born to Khatoon and Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh in 2002 and he was one of three children, but he was their only child to survive past infancy.[2] He was born with a weight of 700 grams (1.5 lb) and has an as of yet undiagnosed form of primordial dwarfism.[2]
The previous titleholder, Edward Niño Hernández of Colombia, was 6.9 cm (2.7 inches) taller and held this record between 4 September 2010 until 14 October 2010[3] and again from 17 January 2020 until 13 December 2022.[1]
