Aida Habtezion

Dr. Aida Habtezion, MD, Msc, was born in Eritrea and she comes from a large family. Dr Aida is currently Associate Professor OF Medicine (Gastroenterology and Hepatology) at Stanford University. But she will soon be taking a leave of absence from Stanford to join Pfizer as their new Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and head of Worldwide Medical and Safety within Worldwide Research, Development, and Medicine (WRDM).
EDUCATION
Dr. Aida Habtezion obtained her medical degree from McMaster University (1996), Canada, and completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Western Ontario followed with a Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Toronto (2002). A post doctoral research fellowship at Stanford University soon followed.
