Aide Castro is a former mayor of Lynwood, California. She is a registered Democrat.

Aide was elected to the Lynwood city council in 2007, and became the city's mayor in 2010.[1] Aide lost her first city council bid, in the recall election in September 2007, but was elected in the general election in November.[2][3]

In 2019, in the aftermath of the legalization of cannabis in California, Aide became the subject of controversy, as her connections to the cannabis industry were revealed while simultaneously helping to approve the cannabis regulations in Lynwood.[4] It was revealed that Aide did consulting work for Weedmaps, making $100,000 a year in the process, as well as millions as a stakeholder in two marijuana ventures outside the city of Lynwood. [5][6] In February, Aide also formed Candor Collections, which is a marijuana partnership that markets cannabis for women.[7][8] In 2017, Aide made $93,666 as a consultant for Weedmaps.[9]
