Aidin Moghimi
Aidin Moghimi (Persian: آیدین مقیمی, born August 9, 1982, in Qaem Shahr) is an Iranian journalist and television and radio commentator.[1] [2] He is considered to be one of the greatest and most popular sports broadcasters of Iran in the post Islamic Revolution era.[3] He formerly worked as a commentator and announcer at IRIB Varzesh, IRIB TV3 and Iranian TV channels. Now he works as a News analyst and Editor at Iran International.
Early Life
Moghimi grew up in an athletic family. Both his parents were basketball players, coaches and referees. He has played basketball at the school and university competitions and Handball at the national league level.
He entered Iran University of Science and Technology in 2001 and graduated in electrical engineering. Moghimi also has a Master's in Sports Media Management.
Pro Career
Moghimi joined the IRIB TV3 and IRIB Varzesh as a Basketball commentator in 2012. He received the title " Adel Ferdosipour of Basketball" from the fans of this field as he first used new phrases, describing the game of basketball on Iranian National TV. For several years in a row, he broadcast Iranian Basketball Super League and the NBA on Iranian National TV.

April 24, 2021 During Game 4, Iranian Basketball Super League Finals between Shahrdari Gorgan BC and Mahram Tehran BC, Moghimi was the TV play-by-play announcer. As Perry Petty forced the game to overtime with a 3/4 court shot with 0.3 seconds to go, Moghimi described the scene spectacularly.
Translated to English: "Perry Petty... The last shot... He dropped something! And the ball goes in! Oh my Godddd! Oh my Godddd! Is it possible? The game equalised, is it possible? Was the suction device on the basket? We do not know!"[4]
