Hamid Ziaei Parvar, is an Iranian journalist, writer and researcher who teaches electronic public relations as well as communications at Iranian universities.[1]
Born in Sabzevar, Iran, Ziaei acquired his bachelor's degree in Politics from Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran before ranked first in the entrance exam of PhD programme at Azad University of Iran in 2004.[2] While being a journalist with 20 years of experience, he has been teaching at universities for the last 5 years, too. He has also authored 14 books. His research areas are consisted of communications, modern technologies, cyberspace and electronic public relations.[3][4][5][6]
Parvar has released 63 essays in the fields of IT and ITC, several thousand of journal articles, mainly social and political, and 10 scientific essays provided to various conferences. Ziaei Parvar is recognized as a pioneer university professor in the field of public relations. He was also recognized as a pioneer student of public relations by secretariat of Conference of Public Relations while studying at university as a member of a PhD program, .[7][8]
While being a member of Committee for Ranking News Websites in Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, he served as the head of the Center for Public Relations, Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Organization of Iran between 2014 and 2016.[9][10][11][12][13]
Ziaei Parvar also worked as deputy of Center for Information Technology, and Digital Media of Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in 2017.[14] He has served as the director general of Office for Media Studies and Planning since March 2017.[15]
Notable among the other responsibilities, he was an editor of Science & Health Desk at Hamshahri Daily Newspaper, Khorasan Daily Newspaper, a research fellow at Center for Strategic Studies of Expediency Discernment Council, a member of jury and scientific editor of many scientific festivals and events. Parvar is currently a university professor of public relations and communications at Soureh University, Iran Broadcasting University, Azad University, Public University in Tehran and other Iranian universities.[16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25]
