Ajai Vasudev and also by the name "Ajai", is an Indian film director known for his works primarily in Malayalam film industry. First independent work is movie Rajadhi Raja (2014)[1] starred Mammootty and written by Uday Krishna -Sibi k Thomas.[2]

Ajai Vasudev[3] [4]was born on January 23, 1982 in Harippad, Alappuzha Dist. to B Radhamma and K. Vasudevan. His family hails from Harippad in Kerala. Currently living in Aluva. Married to Ms. Ritu Raghuraja and father of Master Yuvraj Ajai
Career[edit]
Career He started working as assistant director to Director Shafi for movie Kalyanaraman(2002). Being an associate and assistant director for over 25 films he earned a good vision of cinema. After spending about 12 years in the industry, Rajadhiraja gave Ajai a breakthrough and further made an action-packed movie Masterpiece with Mammootty in lead. Making movies like CID Moosa, Pokkiriraja, udayanaanu Thaaram, Notebook, Casanova, Thuruppu Gulan etc. as an assistant director gave him the confidence to go further. Rajadhi Raja stars Mammootty and Raai Laxmi in lead. The film was then a huge success and made ₹ 8 Crore in the first week of its release. Masterpiece [5] Released in 2017 is an action thriller film written by Uday Krishna. Starring Mammootty, Unni Mukundan, Mukesh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, was a box office hit and was also a good entertainer.
