Akeel Ishmael Francis (born 30 March 1999) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward or winger for Scottish League One club Falkirk.
Personal life[edit]
Francis was born in Leeds to Jamaican parents. He is the brother of Derby County defender Andre Wisdom.
Club career[edit]
Youth[edit]
Francis is a product of both the Bradford City and Huddersfield Town academies.
Rotherham United[edit]
Francis started his career with Rotherham United but failed to break into the first team and spent time on loan at North Ferriby United. He made no first team appearances whilst at Rotherham.
Francis was released by Rotherham in December 2017.
Accrington Stanley[edit]
Following his release from Rotherham, he signed for Accrington Stanley in January 2018 on a short term deal.[1] He was given the number 18 shirt for the season.
After failing to register an appearance, Francis was released at the end of the season.
Guiseley[edit]
Francis joined National League club Guiseley in February 2018.[2]
He left at the end of the season.[3]
Farsley Celtic[edit]
In 2019, Francis signed for National League North club Farsley Celtic.
Grantham Town[edit]
He joined Grantham Town in February 2020. He scored 4 goals in 9 games before the season ended due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.[4]
Falkirk[edit]
In September 2020, Francis joined Scottish side Falkirk on a 1-year deal.[5]
