The Dangi caste is a very ancient in itself, Dangi is the ancient Indian Kshatriya caste which has its own glorious past and culture. Within the Dangi society, there were not one but many kings, maharajas, zamindars and jagirdars, whose history is a witness. Many forts were built by the Dangi kings. Out of which there are still some forts like Gadpahra Fort, Sagar, Kurai Fort, Kurai, Sagar, Sagar's Sheeshmahal, Narwar Fort, Shivpuri, all of them are in Madhya Pradesh, while Virata Fort, Uttar Pradesh near Jhansi , etc. are examples of its golden history which is present even today.
