Alan Fang (born 20 February 1977), is a Hongkonger entrepreneur best known for organising the first edition of the ePrix in Hong Kong and as founder of one of China's biggest multi-brand fashion retailers.
Early life[edit]
Alan Fang was born on 20 February 1977 in Hong Kong to a prominent fashion family.[1]
During his teenage years he attended the Harrow School in London before moving to the United States where he earned a Bachelor of Science, Economics at the University of Chicago.[2]
After a brief experience in the financial industry working at JPMorgan Chase RiskMetrics Group he returns to Hong Kong to focus on the retail and event management business.[2]
Career[edit]
In the early noughties he founded Novo Concepts, that would become one of the largest China's fashion retailers distributing dozens of international brands including Miss Sixty, Replay and Evisu across 45 cities in China.[3] As part of the Novo Group he launches in 2010 Novomania a Chinese trade show for urban and young fashion, showcasing hundreds of international exhibitors to 13,000 visitors. UBM Asia acquires Novomania in 2013.[4][5]
In 2016 he becomes chief executive officer of Formula Electric Racing Hong Kong with the task of organising the first edition of the event.[6]
