Alejandro Mora better known by his stage name Ale Mora is a Costa Rican DJ, producer from San Jose, Costa Rica. He is best known for his collaboration Milkshake with Dutch DJs Laidback Luke & Shermanology.[1]
He has performed at festivals such as Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, Sunburn Festival and Life in Color. In June 2015 he had his first major music festival appearance performing on the Ultra Korea mainstage. He was a resident DJ of the Marenostrum Music Festival in Valencia (2014-2019).
Early Life[edit]
Mora was born as Alejandro Mora in Houston, Texas on 10 March 1992 to Costa Rican father Alejandro Mora and Salvadorean mother Ivette Cutié. He is the eldest child with a sister, Nicole, a brother, Daniel, and a half-brother, Andres. He was raised in San José, Costa Rica, and moved to Boca Raton, Florida to pursue a degree in International Business at Lynn University. At the young age of six, he began his musical career after being gifted a piano by his parents and began taken lessons. These piano lessons sparked his interest in music and his professional career took off in his early teens.

Ale Mora was discovered by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike in 2014 when he sent a demo of his track H.A.M via email to which they responded and decided to release on their label Smash The House.[2]That same year he followed up that release on Smash The House with Flamme, a collaboration with John Dish. A few months later he released his third single Rollin' on Laidback Luke's label Ones to Watch.
In June 2014 he had his first major festival debut at Ultra Music Festival. After his memorable performance, he quickly earned a spot on the Ultra Music Festival lineups across the world, including Miami, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Mexico, and Croatia. In July 2014, he became the first Costa Rican DJ to perform at Tomorrowland.[3] That summer Ale was part of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike's summer residency at Privilege Ibiza. He closed out the year performing on December 31st at the mainstage of Sunburn Festival as the support act for Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
After signing with UC management & Supermodified Agency in 2015, Ale embarked on an extensive Asia tour which included club performances in Taipei, Shanghai, Manila, Bali, Osaka, Tokyo, Seoul, Bali, and Singapore which included performances at Ultra Music Festival mainstages in Korea, Japan, Singapore, as well as Invasion Music Festival in Jakarta. He then headed to India for his first solo tour performing in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Chandigarh. In November 2015 he collaborated with Costa Rica pop band Entrelineas on Noches Buenas. This was his first hit single which reached the #1 spot in Costa Rica. And was featured on the Netflix movie, Goal Seeker based on the life of Keylor Navas[4]
Spending so much time in Asia allowed Ale to meet local artists and collaborate with them on new music. In 2016 he collaborated with Korean artist Jay Park & Seattle basedCha Cha Malone on their track Forever, which was part of Jay Park's Everything You Wanted (Album). Ale collaborated as well with Far East Movement on the track Ghost which has not been released.
At Ultra Korea 2017 Ale Mora premiered his remix of Quintino's track on Spinnin' Records Can't Fight It which was released later that year via Spinnin' Records. That same year he released Party People a collaboration with Mr. Black which was released on Hardwell's label Revealed Recordings. Party People reached the #1 spot on the Beatport Electro House Charts as received massive support including Tiesto, David Guetta, and Hardwell.[5]
In 2018 Ale collaborated with Laidback Luke & Shermanology on Milkshake released via Mixmash Records which was an adaptation of the original Milkshake (song) by Kelis. That same year Ale released his collaboration Running with Carl Nunes & Karen Inder on Trice which is an Armada Music sublabel and donated all the proceeds to the victims of the volcanic eruption of 2018 in Guatemala.[6]
In January Ale performed his biggest show to date in home country Costa Rica at The Kolbi 9DK Festival together with Don Diablo. Shortly after he decided to take a break from touring after suffering from a seizure and severe Pneumonia which caused him to be hospitalized. His recovery took several weeks and made him want to spend some time off. However, that summer he did the last 12 shows of the year which consisted of a 9 date residency in Bermuda and a Europe Tour. Once back from his summer tour Ale moved back to his home country Costa Rica for the time being and decided to spend some personal time with his family and friends.
After being away for a couple of months, Ale has returned and is producing electronic/urban music and has been in the studio with several well-known Latin artists from Colombia and has announced that he will be releasing his first track of 2020 in August.

In 2018, Mora was an ambassador for Nicaraguan Rum Brand Flor de Caña "summer 2018" campaign. The announcement was made in October 2018, along with the release of the promotional photographs on social media. Ale Mora on the front cover of Hola Magazine's November 2017 issue "The New Faces of Talent" issue on November 1st, 2017.[7]
