Alexander (Alex) Lazovsky (born August 1975) is an American-Israeli venture capitalist. He is the founder and managing general partner of Scale-Up VC, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm based in Palo Alto, California, U.S.

Alex Lazovsky is a member and mentor [1] in ICON - a non-profit Israel Collaboration Network.

Education[edit]

Lazovsky was born in Russia, where he graduated from high school with golden medal (equivalent of unweighted GPA of 4.0 / weighted GPA of 5.0).

Upon graduating from high school, Lazovsky immigrated to Israel in 1992, where he graduated with Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Management from Tel Aviv University.

Lazovsky received his M.B.A. from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management (in a joint degree Kellogg-Recanati International Executive MBA Program by Kellogg School of Management, NU and The Leon Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration, TAU).

He speaks English, Hebrew and Russian.

Career[edit]

Lazovsky founded Scale-Up Venture Capital [2] fund in 2015. At Scale-Up VC, he has led investments in Altair Semiconductor (acquired by Sony Corporation), ColorChip, Kaminario, StartApp, Zeek Mobile and Siklu. Overall, Scale-Up VC Fund I and II invested so far in 10 technology companies.

Lazovsky is a board member in ColorChip Inc.[3], Kaminario Inc.[4], Zeek Mobile Ltd.[5], and Siklu Inc.

Prior to founding Scale-Up VC fund, Lazovsky was Founder and General Partner of CraftCapital, an Israeli seed stage venture capital fund.

Prior to founding CraftCapital, Lazovsky held key positions in companies like SoftWatch (acquired by eWave), Wellness Layers (renamed today to RMDY Health) and Nareos, starting from software engineer and growing to C-level executive roles, including CTO, CEO, President, Board Director.

Personal Life[edit]

Lazovsky is married, has three children, and lives in Palo Alto, California.
