Alexandra Fowler (born 21 July 2001) is an Australian basketball player.
College
In May 2019, Fowler signed her letter of intent to play college basketball at the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon for the Pilots.[1]
Career
WNBL
Born and raised in Queensland, Fowler would begin her WNBL career in her home state, signing an amateur contract as a development player with the Townsville Fire for the 2018–19 WNBL season.[2]
National Team
Youth Level
Fowler made her international debut for the Sapphires at the 2017 FIBA Under-16 Asian Championship in Bengaluru, India, where Australia would take home the gold.[3] Fowler then represented the Sapphires at the Under-17 World Cup in Belarus the following year, where they finished in third place, taking home the bronze medal. Fowler then made her debut for the Gems at the 2019 Under-19 World Cup in Bangkok, Thailand, where the Gems took home silver after returning to the final for the first time since 1997. Fowler also earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team, awarded to the five strongest players of the tournament, after averaging a near double-double with 9.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.[4]
