Alexandra Frida is a ready-to-wear fashion house based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It was founded in 2014 by the Dutch designer Alexandra Vollebregt. Alexandra Frida's collections are characterized for its FRIDA print. The print is composed of hundreds of feathers that have been hand picked and painted. Every collection involves a reinvention of the print using different techniques.

Alexandra Vollebregt was born in the Netherlands in 1985. Throughout her childhood, Alexandra lived in Zaire, Nigeria, England and the Netherlands. These vibrant experiences and cultures have fueled her imagination and are reflected in her work. It was the Dutch designer Bas Kosters – where she did her internship - who convinced Alexandra to graduate with a runway collection. This collection led to the invitation of the Artez Fashion Masters where she continued to explore her talents in fabric, accessory and fashion design. Not long after, Alexandra left for a new journey to Cuba where she began the label ALEXANDRA FRIDA. Upon return to her homeland, Alexandra showed her first ready-to-wear collection LOLA at the Mercedes-Benz Amsterdam Fashion Week January 2014 edition. Her work has been shown at New York Fashion Week,[1] Downtown Fashion Week Amsterdam,[2] Meesterlijk and Tissu Premier, Paris and at the Glas Museum in Leerdam. She was part of the Generation 12 Mini Collection presentation at Arnhem Coming Soon, both in the Netherlands. Most recently, Alexandra was a finalist for the Global Denim Awards and was featured as Woman of the Week in the Netherlands edition of Harper's Bazaar.[3]

Alexandra Frida designs women's ready-to-wear fashion and accessories. The brand chooses not to bring out a new collection every season but rather to present a new collection when she chooses. The collections are timeless and high quality making them last more than just one season. The collections have been presented during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week of Amsterdam (2014, 2015) and New York (2015), and the Global Denim Awards 2015.
