Alexey Valeryevich Pavlov (born 27 February 1982 in Omsk) is a Russian blogger and a restaurateur[1].
Biography[edit]
Alexey graduated from Omsk State Technical University. He was the owner of the Absolute Global Service, a digital tech shops chain.[2] The idea of Japanese cuisine restaurant opening came to him when he tried roll for the first time. He got the support from one of his colleagues, whose wife was a chef of a sushi pub.[1]
His first Japanese cuisine restaurant was opened in Tyumen in 2013 as the Absolute Global Service branch;[2] the initial plan was to open a restaurant in Surgut.[1] To reach his goal, Alexey had to borrow some money; furthermore, he had no degree in economics.[3] Some months later he opened the second restaurant,[1] and at the end of 2013 there were 40 restaurants of the same chain.[3] The chain of Japanese cuisine restaurants called Sushi Master was registered officially in 2016.[2] In 2017 Alexey had to pay back the loan of 1.2 mln rubles which he took for business development.
Sushi Master today is located in 10 countries, 9 cities, 172 trade and partner branches. The annual turnover of the company is 2.5 billion rubles. At the current moment Alexey is responsible for opening and launching the new restaurants, process management and staff selection. Alex Yanovsky, who is Pavlov's colleague, a businessman and a motivational speaker currently residing in San Diego, is also responsible for operationing and scaling up the business.[1][4] In 2018 Absolute Global Service was liquidated finally.[2]
Pavlov is a participant of international forums SUP-2015 and SUP-2018.[5] He took part in the Russian third season of The Secret Millionaire reality show which was aired on Pyatnitsa TV channel in 2018. The challenges of the episode with Pavlov took place in Murmansk,[3] and at the end of the episode Alexey made presents for Murmansk residents; he was going to give them a 3-room apartment[6][7]
Personal life[edit]
Alexey married on 5 November 2018.[3] Despite his activity of restaurateur, he has almost no skills in cooking.[1] His hobbies are travelling. During his travel to Ethiopia he met and began to communicate closely with the motivational speaker Dmitry Portnyagin.[1][8]
