Algeria 24 News (Arabic: (الجَزَائِرْ أَرْبَعَة وَ عِشْرُونْ الإِخْبَارِيَّة‎, (French: Algerie Vingt-Quatre News), abbreviated as AL24News, Alternatively called Algerian International Channel (Arabic: قَنَاة الجَزَائِرْ الدُّوَلِيَّة‎), (French: Canal International Algérien), is a state-owned channel and a part of ANEP Group that specializes in providing news coverage of political, economic, sports, cultural and other events that happen all around the world,[1] Its headquarters is at the Exhibition Palace (SAFEX), Maritime Pines, Algiers, Algeria, and it began experimental broadcast in the 1st of November 2021, and then officially started broadcasting in the 31st of July 2022.

The channel broadcasts in 4 languages: Arabic, French, English, and Spanish.

2022 Mediterranean Games[edit]

The channel also had outstanding coverage of the 2022 Mediterranean Games that happened in Oran, with a studio equipped with Augmented reality technology, which was used to make the correspondent easily connect with the studio in Algiers by simply walking to it.[2]

The channel is the first ever in Algerian and African Television to be using such technology.[3]
