Alhasan Yousef was born on June 17, 1992 in United Arab Emirates, better known by his stage name Ortega, is a singer, songwriter, music producer and sound engineer.[3] He is from Palestine based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He started his career as a rapper. He released tracks in other genres such as R&B and Pop Music, but most of his genre focus is on Hip hop.[4]

Music Career

In the early 2000s, he credits Eminem as the rapper that initially got him interested in Hip hop music.[5] He started singing in 2005, and achieved many tournaments and challenges among rappers in online forums.[6][7] In 2009 he founded his own record label, Ghxst Records. The first official album was released in 2011 and it was called “Bat’hada El Zaman”. He released albums such as “Damaa”, “Nazef”, “Kawkab Aakhar”, “Shadow”.[4] He has collaborated with numerous artists such as Rim Banna, which solidified his status in the Arab region. In his song "Sarah," he released a promotional track with Palestinian singer Rim Banna.[5][8][9]

Legal issues

In 2007, he released a song about the school and it became very popular in the United Arab Emirates, which led to him being summoned and interrogated, and an article was written about him on Al Khaleej (newspaper) in the United Arab Emirates.[4][10]

2Man Army

In March 2020, the musical duo Ortega & Nurulez released their video clip, "Need for Speed," one of the most popular songs of 2020 in the Middle East[4] and the song won the admiration of the people. In October 2020, a Hip hop duo was created, "2Man Army," combining Ortega & Nurulez.[11]
