Colonel Dr. Ali Shahid Mohamed
Colonel Dr. Ali Shahid Mohamed is a prominent figure in the Maldives National Defense Force, serving as the first Surgeon General and the Acting Commanding Officer of the Senahiya Military Hospital. With over 30 years of dedicated service, he has been recognized for his significant contributions to the medical field and national health initiatives.
Career and Education
Colonel Dr. Ali Shahid Mohamed joined the Maldives National Defense Force in 1990. He graduated from the Armed Forces Medical College in India, specializing in Internal Medicine and further studies in non-invasive Cardiology. His service has been publicly praised by the Minister of Defense, Mariya Ahmed Didi.
In 2016, he received the National Award of Recognition in the area of health promotion and awareness from President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
