Ailíe Nic an tSaoir (known online as alimcforever) is an Irish writer, historian, and independent researcher. She is best known for her work on state power, media, and economic history, as well as for building a political education platform with over 175,000 followers across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube as of 2025.[1]
Early life and education
Nic an tSaoir was born and raised in Ireland, growing up in Naas, County Kildare.[2] She earned a Bachelor's degree in Creative Digital Media from Technological University Dublin in 2014 and a Master's degree in Culture Studies from Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology in 2016.[3]
Career
Nic an tSaoir has worked in communications and media for over a decade, including roles at financial and professional services firms, and in media production.[4] She has specialized in strategic messaging, cultural engagement, and political education.
Alimcforever platform
Nic an tSaoir launched her public education platform alimcforever in March 2025.[5] The platform produces 2–3 researched video shorts (3–10 minutes) daily on TikTok and YouTube, alongside two longform investigative research articles weekly on Substack. The work focuses on the historical and ongoing influence of empire, finance, and media. She also runs a private Discord community of over 600 participants.[6]
Research and writing
Her Master's thesis, Profit in Punishment (2016), examined the privatization of prisons in the United States, exploring the links between neoliberal economic policy, corporate lobbying, and incarceration.[7] She continues to write investigations on neoliberal economics, state violence, and propaganda.
