Allocations is an American financial technology company that provides a software platform for forming and administering private investment funds. The platform uses artificial intelligence to automate legal, compliance and operational tasks.[1][2]

History

Allocations was founded in 2019 by Kingsley Advani. The company originated from Advani's personal challenges in setting up SPVs for his own angel investments. Initially a dashboard to track his investments, it evolved into a full-service fund administration platform.[3][4][5]

In October 2021, the company expanded its capabilities by acquiring Lumen Advisory & Finance for venture funds.[6][7]

The company is headquartered in Miami, Florida, after Advani relocated from the San Francisco Bay Area in December 2020, a move he attributed in part to Miami's growing tech ecosystem.[8]

Operations and Services

The Allocations platform offers tools for fund managers to rapidly form new investment funds and SPVs, manage capital calls, investor reporting and regulatory compliance. The platform has been reported to reduce fund setup times significantly, from weeks to days or minutes.[9]

The company charges fees for its services, which can be one-time for single-investment SPVs or recurring annual subscriptions for ongoing funds. Its clients include asset managers, family offices and angel investors. Growth and Funding.[10]

Growth and Funding

Allocations has raised venture capital funding. According to TechCrunch, the company closed a $4 million funding round at a $100 million valuation in 2021. In 2023, it secured $5 million at a $150 million valuation, with investors including Flex Capital and Genesis Accel.[11][12][13]

The company has reported significant growth in its assets under administration (AUA), reaching $1 billion in 2023 and subsequently growing to over $2 billion. The platform has powered investments for over 1,600 funds.[14]

In 2025, Allocations facilitated a US$25.6 million investment across six vehicles into the world’s largest public BNB treasury company, as reported by Fintech Finance News.[15]
