Allure Beauty Box is a beauty subscription service based in New York City. The company is best known for offering luxury and indie beauty products with a focus on women's beauty, fashion, skincare, hair care, and makeup categories.[1] Every month, members receive a new box with curated products and also have access to exclusive discounts in a members-only store. [2][3]
History[edit]
Allure Beauty Box is powered by Allure, the NYC-based beauty media brand that was founded by Condé Nast in 1991 and is currently run by editor-in-chief Jessica Cruel. In 2012, Allure launched its subscription box as Allure Sample Society through an e-commerce partnership with BeautyBar. In 2015, the brand became Allure Beauty Box and the majority of operations were brought in-house, including product procurement, brand relations, merchandising, and marketing. Allure products are tested and approved by Allure's beauty editors.[4]
Platform[edit]
Members can purchase monthly, quarterly, yearly, and gift subscriptions. In addition to monthly boxes, members also have access to an online marketplace where they can purchase beauty products at a discount. Additionally, the brand curates limited edition boxes four times a year, including a yearly Allure Best Of Beauty Awards Box.[5]
Products & Services[edit]
Every month, Allure Beauty Box subscribers receive a box with at least six skincare, haircare, makeup, and fragrance products, including three or more full size items.[6] Allure editors choose what is inside each box.[7]
Upon joining, new subscribers are given a free gift. Members get exclusive discounts on editors’ favorite luxury products and limited edition boxes,[8] and can often anticipate a bonus item in their beauty package.[9]
