Almabase was founded in by Sri Maneru and Kalyan Varma, who are originally from India. Initially focused on Indian institutions, Almabase quickly expanded into the global market.

In 2016, it was selected for Batch 19.[1] of the prestigious 500 Startups program in Mountain View, CA and later adjudged one of the top 8[2]

The company serves more than 200 institutions around the world including K-12 schools, college and universities like Nicholls State University, University of Louisiana Monroe, Providence Day School, Wyoming High School, College of Idaho, and Thomas Aquinas College.

Product[edit]

The product is designed to serve small shop alumni relations teams at educational institutions. Almabase enables partner institutions to create branded engagement platforms, manage event registrations, send emails to alumni, enable alumni-student mentorships, fetch latest alumni data from Facebook & LinkedIn, manage memberships and online payments.

Almabase is a technology partner of Blackbaud[3] and has seamless integrations with Raiser’s Edge.
