Cloud Academy, Inc. is a technology training platform company headquartered in San Francisco with offices in Mendrisio, Switzerland, focused on cloud computing in the enterprise market.

Cloud Academy Platform[edit]

The company offers enterprises a large library of pre-built learning content across cloud computing platforms including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Their library also includes cloud methodologies such as DevOps, Cloud Security, and specific technologies such as machine learning, IoT, Big Data, and Serverless. All content is available through an online browser or on a mobile device running iOS and Android.

According to the Cloud Academy website, the company offers functionality designed to address the needs of enterprise companies, such as the ability to measure cloud skills, build custom learning paths, and manage training plan cycles.

Cloud Academy is also listed as an Amazon Web Services partner.[1].

Cloud Academy was founded in 2014 by current CEO Stefano Bellasio and CTO Giacomo Marinangeli. Cloud Academy applied and was accepted into the 11th batch of 500 Startups in late 2014[2]. Following the completion of the program, Cloud Academy raised its first round of funding in mid-2015, led by Vertex Ventures[3]

In March 2018, Cloud Academy announced a strategic partnership with cloud managed services provider ICG to extend the cloud platform’s reach to Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and Macau.

In April 2018, Cloud Academy announced the general availability of Training Plans for data-driven skill development.[4]
