Princewill Emmanuel (born 2002) known professionally as Alpha P, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter signed to Universal Music Group. He is known for his 2019 5 tracked debut Extended play King of the Wolves which earned him a nomination at the Headies Awards of 2020 and is widely known for being featured on Justine Bieber single "Peaches" remix.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]
Early life[edit]
Alpha P was born and raised in the capital of Edo State, Benin City where he had both his primary and secondary education before relocating to Lagos State in 2019 at aged 15 and enrolled at the University of Lagos for his tertiary education.[9][10]
Career[edit]
Alpha P first started as a gospel rapper at a very young age in his church where he and Rema were church mates. They formed a musical duo called "RnA" and released their first single "Mercy" which was not officially released in music streaming services.[11][12][13] Alpha P released his first solo single "Number One" in 2019 featuring Tomi Owo. Same year he gained popularity following the release of his debut Ep "King of the Wolves" and was signed to Universal Music Group.[14] The following year a single "Paloma" from his debut Ep was remixed with DJ Tunez and D3AN.[15] In 2021, Apha P was cited as an artist to watch by Pan African Music.[16]
