The Alstom Adessia is a family of railcars and trainsets for commuter service manufactured by Alstom and based on designs by Alstom, Bombardier, and Hawker Siddeley Canada.
History
After acquiring Canadian rail manufacturer Bombardier Transportation in 2021, Alstom inherited Bombardier's existing rolling stock designs and orders for commuter rail rolling stock.[1] In 2023, the Adessia brand was established to incorporate the Alstom-designed X'Trapolis series, the former Bombardier Aventra, and commuter rail designs for the United States.[2][3]
