Deb Nicholson is an open source activist and currently the executive director of the Python Software Foundation. She has previously served as Director of Community Operations at Software Freedom Conservancy[1] and Community Outreach Director at Open Invention Network.
From August 2020 to September 2021, Deb was the Interim General Manager of the Open Source Initiative.
In 2014, while community manager for MediaGoblin, she received the O'Reilly Open Source Award.[2]
Deb is a founding organizer of the Seattle GNU/Linux Conference (SeaGL).
